Goodbye All

Well as the class of '08 graduates it's time to say goodbye. Congratulations to all graduates!

The Forums are now closed and will be deleted in a few weeks. I have a backup of the database so "I swearing wrong" will probably outlive us all!

I miss you guys!

Stay out of it!

Interfering in someone else's argument is as foolish as yanking a dog' s ear.

Toys for our friends in Mexico

As is our tradition, we are sending gifts down to Pastor Alvin's church for Christmas. If you can bring in toys for kids from 1-14 years old, that'd be great!

Bring them this Saturday to Fuel.

Psalm 33: 1-8

Let the godly sing for joy to the L
ord;
it is fitting for the pure to praise him.

Praise the L
ord with melodies on the lyre;
make music for him on the ten-stringed harp.

Sing a new song of praise to him;
play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy.

For the word of the Lord holds true,
and we can trust everything he does.

He loves whatever is just and good;
the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.

The Lord merely spoke,
and the heavens were created.

He breathed the word,
and all the stars were born.

He assigned the sea its boundaries
and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs.

Let the whole world fear the Lord,
and let everyone stand in awe of him.

Disciple Test

Growing up American, going to church, and raising your hands in worship -- none of these things make you a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Roughly 80% of American's claim to be Christian; few actually are. There are plenty of "church-goers" but few disciples. When we call Jesus "Lord," we are saying that he is in charge and that we will obey him. Even the demons acknowledge Jesus intellectually. A true disciple follows and obeys.

Obedience is hard. We don't get it right away. We struggle. We fail. Thankfully God is patient and helps us. He helps overcome the weaknesses of those who love him and obey his Son. God's love for you is immense. He will hold you up; encourage you. He disciplines those who obey him; those whom he counts as sons.

So the question to anyone who claims to be Christian is:
Does your life match up to your claim that Jesus is your Lord?

“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. - Matthew 7:13-14

“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ - Matthew 7:21-23

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9
